On behalf of the Iu Mien Cultural Preservation Association, Inc., (IMCPA).  I would like to invite you as an Iu-Mien Community District leader of City of Richmond/San Pablo and other city to a meeting to share your inputs on the future directions of the Iu-Mien people.  As you may know that the IMCPA had been recognized as a non-profit organization by state of California for the past five years.  In order to achieve our community goals, which we must all share the same philosophy to where we can communicate effectively with each others in order to help our Iu-Mien people to overcome various obstacles in today societies.

"Importantly" we as a community leaders should acted as a leaders and those citizen could supports in order to help get the positive result to achieve and shared the community needs and success.  As we aware that the traditional of “Iu-Mien New Year” and “Community Center” is very important to the Iu-Mien people.  We need to make our people more sufficiently in doing what they do in the community.  They were promise to us long time ago, that is getting a community center or place people called “HOME”. But, actually we are being ridicule by other cities from California to Washington State because we cannot united ourselves to make thing happens.

The purpose of this meeting is striving to build a better working relationship among our community representatives and those interested individual whom are residing in the area.  Second, we are looking forward to collaboration working in next year mega “Iu-Mien New Year event” in our City.  Third, is to find a resources to help make thing possible in term of funding for the community center and to strengthen our people.  At this meeting, it is very imperative for our community that we focus on “promoting traditional new year event for 2008 and beyond”.
